A chain of play includes all stats for a side in one phase in which the opposition has not won possession of the ball or created a stoppage. Chains of play can only end in a turnover, a stoppage, a score or at the end of a quarter.

* CB: Centre Bounce scores resulting directly from Centre Bounce
* BU: Ball Up scores from Ball Ups (note this also includes Ball Ups from recalled Centre Bounces)
* TI: Throw In scores resulting from Throw Ins around the ground
* TO: Turnover scores from all forms of turnover (intercepts, holding the ball, etc)
* KI: Kick In scores resulting from Kick Ins after an opposition goal
